Give to the Max Day donations surpass matching gift threshold
We send a very hearty and gracious thank you to everyone who contributed to our Give to the Max Day fundraiser yesterday. The threshold to activate our matching gift was met mid-afternoon, and as of 11:15 p.m. last night we had raised (including the match) over $22,000 !!
Coach Brad Frost also sent his thanks via Twitter.
Goals for a Goal update – Our fundraising efforts for the 2021-2022 Gopher Women's Hockey season continue in the Goals for a Goal campaign. Donations through this program will go toward the team's participation in a tournament in Las Vegas next year.
Pledge a dollar amount for every goal the Gophers score throughout the regular season and postseason. There's also an option to double your pledge for power play goals! In their first 12 games, the team lit the lamp 52 times with six of those coming on the power play.
We encourage you to make your pledge online, or download the pledge form here and mail it in to the Golden Gopher Fund.
PPC Board of Directors update – At its special meeting last night, the Power Play Club Board of Directors accepted the resignation of Alex Curry as treasurer and appointed director-at-large Todd King to serve as treasurer for the remainder of the current term (which expires on March 31, 2022). The transition will occur over the next few weeks.
