Norcross transfers to Minnesota for 2021-2022 season
Lyle, Massachusetts native Savannah Norcross was named yesterday as the newest member of the Gopher Women's Hockey team, transferring in as a senior after playing three seasons with the Boston College Eagles.
Norcross has improved her statistics every season, totaling 41 points on 26 goals and 15 assists in her collegiate career to-date. After lighting the lamp 3 times as a freshman, she recorded 11 goals and 6 assists in her sophomore year. As a junior in the abbreviated 2020-2021 season, Norcross averaged better than a point per game, netting 12 goals and dishing out 9 helpers in only 20 contests.
As noted in the announcement from the U., Norcross received an invitation to the U.S. Women's National Team Evaluation Camp in March; she was also invited to the USA Hockey Women's National Festival as a U-23 selection earlier this month. The 5-7 forward joins the Gophers while she pursues her Bachelor's degree in human development and psychology.
Welcome, Savannah!! We look forward to seeing you in a Gopher jersey this fall!!
