The Finnish national women's hockey team, including Gopher Women's Hockey alumnae Mira Jalosuo and Noora Räty, completed a three-game sweep of a Euro Hockey Tour event last weekend in Tranås, Sweden, with wins by 3-1 over Russia, 4-0 over Sweden, and 7-0 over Germany. 

Räty started and won two of the games, making 22 saves against Russia and earning a 9-save shutout against the Germans.  Jalosuo tallied an assist in the game against Germany. 

In other tournament action, Sweden also beat Germany 7-0, Russia topped the Germans 3-1, and Sweden defeated the Russians 3-2. 

Some Twitter and Instagram posts from Noora and Team Finland are available in an update shared on GopherSports.com.  Finland will host Sweden for 3 games in early October, being played in Mariehamn, the capital of the Finnish island territory of Åland in the Baltic Sea.
