Two-time NCAA champion and 2005 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award winner Krissy Wendell-Pohl has been named as one of 12 inductees to the Minnesota State High School League Hall of Fame, as announced in a press release on Thursday, August 17.
Prior to join the U.S. Women's National Team and her subsequent Gopher career, Wendell-Pohl was a standout at Park Center High School, tallying an amazing 219 goals and adding 95 assists in just two seasons. The second of those two years culminated in a state championship for the Pirates. She is also still tied in the MSHSL record book for the most goals in a single game, lighting the lamp 8 times on two different occasions.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, October 22. Congratulations, Krissy!!
