Gopher Women's Hockey alumna Kelly Terry announced her retirement from hockey on Monday, May 15, sharing the news in a post on Instagram.

Terry was a two-time national champion with the Gophers (2012 & 2013), finishing with 155 points on 57 goals and 98 assists over her collegiate career (2010-2014).  She went on to play 3 seasons with the Toronto Furies of the Canadian Women's Hockey League, scoring 12 goals and adding 21 assists.  She also earned a silver medal with Team Canada at the 2015 Women's World Championship, and was a member of Canada's gold medal-winning 2010 Women's U-18 World Championship team.

In a follow-up article on DurhamRegion.com, Terry indicated that she has enrolled at the Nova Southeastern University in Florida in pursuit of a doctoral degree in physical therapy.  We send her our congratulations and thanks, and best wishes on her future endeavors.
